Meet Emma
. Emma works in our Baby Lounge and is also part of the Management Team. She has a foundation degree in Early years as well as her level 3 and last year Emma worked very hard to get our Baby lounge a Baby practitioners accreditation . Emma has a teenage daughter and son and is celebrating her 21 years at Brooklyn this year. Emma is our resident Mrs positive and is always smiling ----all ages of children adore her --especially her puppet shows . Extra curricular fun is Emma's passion too -she arranges the best Summer Fairs and staff training sessions .
Meet Lizzie
Lizzie is our Qualified Early years Teacher.
Her positivity and energy along with her driving passion for each child is the fairy dust making her pre-school sparkle.... she is also famous for her crazy outfits which would definitely suit any of our 4 year-olds 😂
Lizzie grew up at Brooklyn and is obviously herself a Brooklyn Alumni --she still manages to find new walks through the woods too !!
Lizzie also now has a level 3 Forest school leader qualification and loves a good campfire and hot choc x !!
Lizzie brings her sausage dog Frank to nursery twice a week too and the children adore him x
Meet KieraKiera joined us in 2023 with a level 3 qualification and experience in other settings . She has flourished with our child led ethos and fun days . Kiera loves our outdoor days and has great organisational skills ensuring it all goes to plan !
Meet Hayley
Hayley is the Baby Lounge leader alongside Emma .. She has a son of her own and loves her big dog walks. level 3 qualified .Celebrating 21 years of Brooklyn service ..as a local girl Hayley came to Brooklyn herself with her brother as a child too.. Hayley also cares for the Brooklyn Guinea pigs in our busy 'piggery'.
Meet Emma
Emma has 2 boys who attended Brooklyn.
She is our nursery cook and creates yummy meals for our children. Also working thoroughly and carefully to provide safe meals for all of our children with allergies and intolerences .When you press the intercom buzzer at the start of your day its Emmas cheery voice that welcomes you in - she is the friendliest chattiest of meet and greeters ever !!Emma celebrates 10 Brooklyn years this year x
Meet Molly
Molly has her own daughter and is returning from mat leave in the Autumn after the safe arrival of her son soon to be in our baby lounge .Molly is level 3 trained .She will slot back in to the Tweenie room supporting the team and children and having lots of fun whilst identifying any support required. Molly is now in her 10th year of Brooklyn life .
Meet Sophie
Sophie came on work experience then straight into an apprenticeship with us from leaving school 2011She has been a qualified level 3 with us since 2015 . After a recent maternity/mum break Sophie has recently returned to us part time .She has her own 2 girls and lives in the village.
Meet Kitty
Kitty is a local girl and fits right in to the Brooklyn team and vibe . She has a degree in Early Years Education and is one of the room leaders of our busy Tweenie unit .
Meet Cheryl
This is Cheryl. Our longest serving staff member celebrating 36 years service this year ! Cheryl has the much respected qualification of the level 3 NNEB .
Cheryl has 2 grown up children of her own. She is the leader of our toddler team and has a wealth of experience for certain . Brooklyn is evidently now in her veins too.
Meet Gemma
Gemma is our housekeeper. She has Brooklyn in her veins though as her grandma is the very loved 'mamma Nancy' who cooked for the Brooklyn children for over 30 years. She has her own teenage boys .Gemma has made a huge difference to the team keeping the laundry sorted and rooms clean for all of us.. The children all love her and we cannot imagine life without her !
Meet Jane
Jane works in the kitchen supporting our cook Emma. She has made a huge difference in preparing all the meals and keeping our kitchen clean.
Meet Amy
Amy came on school work experience and fell in love with childcare and Brooklyn ,coming back a few years later once qualified.at level 3. This is her 10th Brooklyn year .
Amy also has a Level 3 Qualification as a Forest School practitioner --this is a huge achievement and
enhances our outdoor work/play hugely .She has her own daughter and is part of the room leader team for Tweenies whilst Kursty is on mat leave .
Meet Sue (Owner / Manager)
I grew up at Brooklyn it was my parents nursery. I then had a career in Neonatal and later school nursing. Before taking over at Brooklyn when my parents retired in 2002. I did my level 3 but then studied the reggio emilia approach in Italy and High Scope methods of teaching too BUT the Brooklyn Ethos and Pedagogy are definitely unique to our wonderfully located setting ...its fabulously rich history and ....huge network of wonderful playful and devoted fans.
My own wealth of parenting experience has literally covered everything as I have triplets now adults and a teenager with Autism ... so whatever your situation ..I promise I can help :)
Meet Leah
Leah works in our Toddler Lounge and loves making friends with children and families. Leah has a level 3 . Our resident comedian and tech support too !!She has her own son and this year celebrates 16 years Brooklyn Service.
Meet Yvette
Yvette joined us in January with her level 3 Qualification and 17 years of experience of nursery life .She is a mum and a grandma too and is right at home with our ethos and outdoor days . The best partner in play our children could want . Currently in our tweenie unit and enjoying every moment .
Meet Angel
Angel started Brooklyn in the summer of 2020 , she works as part of the team in Preschool. Level 3 Qualified -Angel has an affinity for communicating with the quieter children she is fab with our greenhouse and is so very creative !
Meet Becky
This is Becky. Becky joined us in 2020 and says she has never looked back. She adores Brooklyn and our ethos . Qualified level 3 .
Becky is joint room leader in our Tweenie room. with our 2 year olds. She always has a smile and is a most positive 'can do' member of our team which we all love.
Meet Kursty
This is Kursty. Kursty joined the Brooklyn team in 2020 we were so lucky to get her with a shiny new degree in childhood studies.
She is joint room leader of our Tweenie room. .
Kursty has boundless energy and ideas for activities also loving the outdoors and child led approach.. Definitely an advocate for play based learning which means fun days in Tweenies .

Meet Scarlet
Scarlet joined us in 2023 after completing her degree in Early Years . A calm and gentle staff member who builds lovely relationships with her little ones .Currently on mat leave after having her baby boy x
Meet Courtney
Courteney joined us in 2023 her first day was actually our Ofsted inspection and she still turned up !! Courteney is calm and gentle and loved by the children -Her organisational skills are immense making her children feel safe and secure.
Bec
Becca loves working as a level 3 in our preschool She has worked at Brooklyn since 2020 . she has her own teenage son,..loves days out and trips with her family .
Meet Tracey Tracey is a level 3 . She joined us last year having gained lots of experience with children with additional needs in a school environment .She is loving our ethos and adores working in the baby lounge with Emma and Hayley .
Meet Sian
Sian joined us part time and flexibly working to support all rooms during our mat leave absences .She is level 3 has her own children and is keen to take on a more permanent role . She really has fitted in perfectly we all love her .
